Trip Charge
Paid before dispatching to your location.
Travel up to 25 miles on paved and serviced roads from our location to the customer location is billed at $99. Additional mileage over 25 miles is billed at $4 per miles to 50 miles. Over 50 miles is billed a flat rate of $300. Additional off-road charge of $10 for each mile of travel off of the common public roadway. Fees cover expense for fuel, maintenance and insurance.
Vehicle owner to be onsite upon our arrival.
The vehicle owner must be onsite to provide access to the vehicle and verify repairs. Insuring sufficient detail is provided in the online service request allows Sherlock Roams RV to bring the tools and parts necessary to complete the repair in a single trip.
We can work on all RV makes and models, however we do not perform work on chassis, engine or transmissions. This fee only covers the cost of the trip.
Diagnostic
Service Diagnostic not conducted over the phone.
The diagnostic fee is billed at $150 and covers one hour of labor for Sherlock Roams RV to determine the potential cause of concern(s).
Why is a diagnostic necessary?
As RV systems have become more advanced, the concern prompting the initial request for service is only a symptom of the overall problem. Sherlock Roams RV will perform diagnostic tests that isolate the potential problem. The time spent diagnosing the root issue results in an efficient repair process that avoids the expense of unnecessary parts and the additional labor associated.
Labor
Labor is rounded up to the next full hour.
Sherlock Roams RV labor rate is $150 per hour. Repairs requiring more than 15 minutes to complete will be charged a full hour of labor.
Signed estimate before starting work.
Once the diagnostic is performed an estimate will be provided for client approval. No work will be initiated until the estimate is approved and the technician is given authorization to complete the repair.
Full payment required upon completion.
Once work begins, the client is responsible for the payment owed before we leave. No invoice will be sent unless Sherlock Roams RV and the client have made an agreement. No payment plans are accepted for services rendered.
Flat Service Fee

Air Conditioner Service - $250 for the first; $125 each additional
Winterize - $150 blow-out, drain, anti-freeze; up-charge for ice-makers, washers
In-Service - $150 purge and restore systems; up-charge for ice-makers, washers
Appliance Removal/Replacement - $300 to include water heaters, furnace, stoves, refrigerators, microwave ovens, washer/dryers
Tank Cleaning - $175 for the first; $75 each additional. Customer RV hooked up to sewer with access to water and 120vac service. Up-charge for extraction of foreign items or result in payment for incomplete service.
Roof Cleaning - $25 per foot; $5 per foot Ultra Violet protection additional.
